haec dicit Dominus vade et accipe lagunculam figuli testeama senioribus populi et a senioribus sacerdotum

et egredere ad vallem filii Ennom quae est iuxta introitumportae Fictilis et praedicabis ibi verba quae ego loquar ad te

19:3
et dices audite verbum Domini reges Iuda et habitatoresHierusalem haec dicit Dominus exercituum Deus Israhel ecce egoinducam adflictionem super locum istum ita ut omnis quiaudierit illam tinniant aures eius

19:4
eo quod dereliquerint me et alienum fecerint locum istum etlibaverint in eo diis alienis quos nescierunt ipsi et patreseorum et reges Iuda et repleverunt locum istum sanguineinnocentium

19:5
et aedificaverunt excelsa Baali ad conburendos filios suosigni in holocaustum Baali quae non praecepi nec locutus sum necascenderunt in cor meum

19:6
propterea ecce dies veniunt dicit Dominus et non vocabiturlocus iste amplius Thofeth et vallis filii Ennom sed vallisOccisionis

19:7
et dissipabo consilium Iudae et Hierusalem in loco isto etsubvertam eos gladio in conspectu inimicorum suorum et in manuquaerentium animas eorum et dabo cadavera eorum escamvolatilibus caeli et bestiis terrae

19:8
et ponam civitatem hanc in stuporem et in sibilum omnis quipraeterierit per eam obstupescet et sibilabit super universaplaga eius

19:9
et cibabo eos carnibus filiorum suorum et carnibus filiarumsuarum et unusquisque carnes amici sui comedet in obsidione etin angustia in qua concludent eos inimici eorum et qui quaeruntanimas eorum

19:10
et conteres lagunculam in oculis virorum qui ibunt tecum

19:11
et dices ad eos haec dicit Dominus exercituum sic conterampopulum istum et civitatem istam sicut conteritur vas figuliquod non potest ultra instaurari et in Thofeth sepelientur eoquod non sit alius locus ad sepeliendum

19:12
sic faciam loco huic ait Dominus et habitatoribus eius utponam civitatem istam sicut Thofeth

19:13
et erunt domus Hierusalem et domus regum Iuda sicut locusThofeth inmundae omnes domus in quarum domatibussacrificaverunt omni militiae caeli et libaverunt libamina diisalienis

19:14
venit autem Hieremias de Thofeth quo miserat eum Dominusad prophetandum et stetit in atrio domus Domini et dixit adomnem populum

19:15
haec dicit Dominus exercituum Deus Israhel ecce egoinducam super civitatem hanc et super omnes urbes eius universamala quae locutus sum adversum eam quoniam induraveruntcervicem suam ut non audirent sermones meos

019:001
Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

019:002
And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,

019:003
And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

019:004
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

019:005
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

019:006
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

019:007
And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

019:008
And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

019:009
And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

019:010
Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

019:011
And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.

019:012
Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:

019:013
And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

019:014
Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,

019:015
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
